So I noticed that one of the classes that I requested, LGST 101, had closed as a status. All my other courses are open. What does this mean? Can I still be enrolled in this course if it is closed?

You can’t enroll in it if the class is closed. It has no more space. Most courses open up during the first week of classes anyway, so you shouldn’t worry. If it does remain closed, you can try contacting the professor/department or showing up to the first class and requesting an override.

But how can a class be closed if the computer does not start processing the registration until 2 weeks after Advanced Registration ends?

It might be the BFS section if it’s the one on TR afternoons.

Upperclassmen have already registered. It is very possible for a course to be closed. Then again, a course might be closed to upperclassmen, but upen up a few seats during advanced registration to accomidate freshmen. I’d email the professor and department to see if you can get in the class during advanced registration. If not, just try during the first week or two of classes.
