<p>Hi this will be kinda long
I have two main questions. I would like some scheduling help and I'd like to know if I'm on the right track for UCLA, Berkley and Northwestern( the schools I'm interested in)
(not all of them but I'm a soph so I have time)</p>
<p>My school does the 4x4 sched, I take four classes in the fall and 4 different ones in the spring.
As a freshy I took
english 9 H
Geo H
Span 2
Span 3
Speech and debate
Bio
Drawing and Design (intro art class)
Pe/ Health
All A's no GPA boost so 4.0</p>
<p>sophmore Im taking
english 10 H got 1 A expect another (85%)
Spanish 4 I B probabaly another b but theres a chance for an A (20-30%)
Apchem 1 A and the second one probably an A ( 70%)
painting two A's
took alg 2 trig H two B's
Apwh two A's
weightraining A's
chem a's
so GPA: from a 3.7 UW/3.9W to a 3.8/4.2 with luck!</p>
<p>next year and senior year im having some trouble. I know I have 16 more classes to take which is way more than other people
but
11
Ap Eng precalcH
ASB ASB
APush ap euro or psych
physics Ap physics
I think i can reasonably expect all A's or maybe 1 B but these classes seem easier than my previous ones
12
Ap Gov/Econ ap art history
asb asb
Apbio APeng
ap calc Ab Ap psych
Probabaly again All A's 1 B</p>
<p>So I have a winter sport (wrestling) so I'd prefer to have spring term slightly harder
I'm kinda concerned about semester 1 of senior year i hear gov/econ can be a joke but bio and calc ab together might be hard</p>
<p>also I might only have 1 term of ASB as a junior so that might mess it all around, and I might take a free first :)</p>
<p>so if anyone has any suggestions things I should re arrange or things I'm missing
other things
32 ACT im doing tutoring and already super scored 33 but I think I can get a legit 34 since im only a couple careless errors away
psat was 195ish so nothing special
extra curricular
wrestling JV hopefully V this year who knows
Temple Choir next year
just started a teen court volunteering program thats only twice a month 2 or 3 hours but its something that actually interests me which IMHO, is very hard to do with volunteering.
I'm sure the college are on to kids doing stuff just to get in not because of any interest
also Boy scout Eagle
Hopefully treasurer or some executive position for ASB as a senior
Also sleep away camp counselor next year for 8 weeks
I have gone to the camp for many years and will be a counselor next year</p>
<p>im trying to pick some passions out
leadership
outdoors
temple
a sport</p>
<p>i have gone to temple religous school since elementary school (after school once/wk)</p>
<p>Another question: It would be kind of lucky if I get in for a both semesters because i already applied but I kinda know the director so it might work, but im concerned that ill be losing the gpa point i would have gotten if i would have taken another AP
since my Gpa isn't amazing. Will that point make a difference? hopefully not. Since I hear the UC's reallllllyfocus on GPA</p>
<p>So this isn't really a chance me since I'm only a soph but i just wanted to know if I'm on the right track for those kinds of schools
Do I need anything else
I'm white and I go to one of the top public schools around
(very good API scores (standardized testing score))
if either of those matters
good district</p>
<p>am I missing anything?
Is everything going to be ok? :P
this is my first post but ive been lurking for a while
everyone seems so intense :)</p>
<p>oh AP's</p>
<p>chem:3/4
apwh 4/5
i slacked in chem :(</p>
