<p>DS took Bio in freshman year but did not take an SAT II on it; most kids in school take them after Jr year, so we were not thinking of it. Should he review independently and then take them, or just continue with other sciences and take those SAT II's. How do you decide which SAT II's to take/ and when? He's only 14 now, a soph, taking Chem, getting A's.</p>
<p>i suggest he take chem in june and if he's planning on taking AP Bio next yr. take that SAT II then, otherwise, it's not a good idea to try to review it while ur not taking the class. Choosing which SAT II to take depends on when your taking the class and how well u are doing in it. also, look at college websites and special programs (like accelerated med programs) that may require a certain SAT subject test. He should also take the ones that relate to his major.</p>
<p>take it as soon as you are done with the class unless u plan to take AP junior or sohomore year. if u feel confident go for it. a 800 on a SAT II in ur freshman year looks better than a 800 junior year.</p>
