schedulizing

<p>so.
schedules.
fun. </p>

<p>Going into senior year (ackkk) after this year will have completed 4 years foreign language, 4 years english (1 AP), 3 years history (2 APs), both AP Econs, 4 years of math, AP Stats, 4 years science (1 AP). all the non-APs were honors. </p>

<p>this is my tentative schedule</p>

<p>AP Calc AB
*AP European History
*AP Art History
*AP Literature
AP Gov't (Semester)
College Sociology Honors (Semester) </p>

<p>*my school runs a program called Recurring Themes, where you take these three classes as part of an overall curriculum and the teachers are supposed to work together so you move at the same pace and can use info in the other classes</p>

<p>now, including Calc Lab and Gym, this means I have 2 free periods left.
In those 2 periods I have the following options.
1) I can take an AP Science (Bio or Chem). I hate this option because I dislike science and math and would prefer to not even take Calc, although I think it would look really bad to take no math OR science next year.
2) I can take electives including
--IB Art (I can't take AP because the prerequisites wouldn't fit into my underclassmen year scheduling, but IB is open to all and I can still submit my portfolio to AP. I already take art classes outside of school)--Full Year
--Forensics Honors (not sure about this...I'd rather take no science at all, but if I have to this is what I'll take)--Semester
--other random electives (computer graphics, photography, etc.)--Semester each</p>

<p>any opinons, especially about the no-science track?
I think I'd like to have a study hall next year. I probably will appreciate the relaxation time.</p>

<p>As much as I'd hate to tell you this, but you're probably better off taking the AP science now (I'd recommend Chem) simply because if you pass the test, then you NEVER have to take science after that (well, you might depending on the college, but it's unlikely). You also need to keep some math in your head before you get to college, so Chem is probably the best option. </p>

<p>You also seem very into art- if that's your passion, definitely pursue it. You should, of course, go for the highest level possible, and thus, I'd suggest IB, but if you really LOVE photography or whatever, then go for that. </p>

<p>:P Good luck in finalizing your schedule.</p>

<p>thanks. I really don't want to take BOTH an AP Science and an AP Math though, so idk =(</p>

<p>anyone else?</p>
