Scholarly attributes

I have an essay for the UIC honors college. Basically the question is "what scholarly attributes do you bring to the community of learners, (faculty and students) in all disiplines.

I'm really stuck on how to structure the essay

any input is appreciated

Thanks!

pm me
i'll give it a look

I don't have the essay done yet... I need some good ideas. Does anybody out there have any. PLEASE....

well i can offhand think of the following 'scholarly' attributes: diligent, creative, analytical, patient, quick-witted etc. See if any of them apply to you, think of some examples to show why, write the essay. But I agree it's a rotten topic- very difficult to answer such a question without sounding boring.

Hi, I was googling scholarly attributes for this same UIC Honors College Application and stumbled upon this site. I wrote about academic humility, vision/goals and perserverance to obtain them, curiosity and the courage to explore, multiple perspectives, and experience/success in AP college prep classes and how this relates to my definition of success (success is not a grade but actual intellectual growth and preparation for life/college)
you probably already wrote your essay and im probably just procrastinating
hope this helps anyways.

They make you write an essay to get into the Honors college now? Back in my day, all you have to do was to fill out a postcard, and as long as your high school rank was in the top 15% and ACT>28, you were in.

My day was less than 5 years ago. They must have just changed requirements.
