Scholars and Honors programs

I got the invite to be in the Scholar's program today, and I accepted it not really sure if there was a difference in the Scholars and Honors programs. Well, apparently the Honors is much more prestigious - if I've accepted that one, can I still be invited to the Honors program?

This link should answer your questions. Good luck

Anyone apart of the honors programs?
Thoughts?
Thoughts on Honors Village?

How do you find out if you got invited?

My son rec’d an email yesterday.

I got an email. I also got the invite to apply for the Honors program today. If I rescind my acceptance to the Scholars program, can I still be an applicant for the Honors program? That’s really what I’m interested in knowing.

Thanks guys, I just got my honors invitation today. Weird…I didn’t get an invitation for the scholar’s program. So can we apply for these programs even though we haven’t enrolled yet?

@ lizziedoll: Sorry I can’t shed some light on that. I do know from reading their site that if you do join the scholars program your first semester, you can apply for the honors program for the next spring semester. That’s if you still qualify.

And do we have to enroll to the school to even apply to these program, because getting into the UHP will help determine which school to attend. Also will getting accepted to the UHP grant an automatic reservation to a dorm at the Honors Village?

When they say input the username and password the school gave you…do they mean the unity id?

Nevermind, I figured it out. You have to use the username and password from the account you used to complete your nc state app. Wow I am dumbfounded. So the UHP application is just an essay…pretty easy. But I did look at how many students they will accept for the fall semester, and it isn’t that many. I wonder how large the applicant pool will be.
