Scholars anyone?

Decisions were made available today!

yes i got in!

Program: Media, Marketing, and Communication Scholars Program
Decision: If I choose to enroll at Ohio State by May 1st, I ACCEPT affiliation with this Scholars Program designation.

i got in the college of engineering and is curious how it works

when your scholars program isn’t engineering.

anyone know?

son was admitted to business scholars.

My son was admitted to ACES (Advocates for Children and Education Scholars).

My D got a letter yesterday as well congratulating her on being named an Ohio State University Scholar in Arts and Sciences. She had already been admitted to the Honors program at OSU. D hasn’t actually seen the letter yet as we never seem to be home at the same time these days, so I haven’t asked her about it yet. I am unsure what she is being congratulated for? Is this a recognition for all the SATII tests? Is is just pr mail?

can i still apply to any scholars programs at this time?

thats funny my D recd. the same letter and no one in the office that sent the mail had a clue what it was all about! My D also got into Honors so I am assuming it is just a random PR letter of no consequence!

Any Health Sciences Scholars?

Queenofsheba: You don’t need to apply to scholars as an entering first year student. OSU contacts you with an invitation just after they admit you. It is basically based on your numbers. The requirements are posted on their website. Good luck.

ohiopublic, what was your sons numbers that got him into business scholars?

International Affairs right here. :)

@Wildwood330: I had to apply for Scholars. :</p>

buckeye45—stats were 28 act/3.9 gpa—pretty good essay.

queen of sheba—you need to apply fill out scholars application (unlike honors)—deadline was Feb. 1.

OOppss. Sorry for all the misinformation about scholars. I was thinking it was the same as for Honors (and Miami U’s old Honors and Scholars). Thanks for setting it straight quickly before it messed anyone up!

I got into the Arts Scholarsssss =]
I will be majoring in Genetics. Art is just what I love to do-- so I went with that as my first choice.
I’m very happy

Since i missed the deadline this year can i apply for the scholars program next year?

The Scholars program is for incoming freshman only. :(

^QueenofSheba - Honors is by invitation only for Freshman. You can apply for acceptance your Sophomore year.

[The Ohio State University Honors Program](http://honors-scholars.osu.edu/phVisitApply.aspx)

“The Honors Program accepts transfer students as well as current students who have been at Ohio State for at least 2 quarters and meet the requirements in their college. Therefore, Scholars students who meet Honors Program criteria after being on campus for 2 quarters may seek Honors affiliation at that time by applying to their college’s Honors Program.”

Is anyone attending the scholars overnight? attending classes and an overnight stay/events seems like a plus for an undecided student?

the scholars daily visit seems like a rehash of scholars days.
