Just went to go.osu.edu/scholars and found our son’s scholars assignment posted.
What exactly did the page say and when did he submit the interest form? My page just looks like a confirmation page.

Can anyone tell me if scholars program gives you an actual scholarship? If so how much?
@Jmklsampson, the Scholars Program does not give a scholarship. It is an academic experiential program that students can apply to. My son attended a program on campus after he was accepted to find out more about the different types of Scholars programs offered. He chose the Biological Sciences Scholars as his first choice and got it. He will now live with other Bio Sci Scholars in Barrett House (the assigned dorm for Bio Sci Scholars). He now has a Bio Sci Scholars advisor who will teach his 1 credit seminar class this fall of his freshman year. Lots of networking, service, and practical opportunities will be offered to him through this program. While at his orientation, I did attend an optional session about the Honors and Scholars Programs. I believe the presenter said that 10% of campus is either in the Honors or the Scholars Programs. The students in these programs are high achieving and very motivated and involved. While Scholars does not give a scholarship, I am betting that many of the students in these 2 programs have received some type of scholarship from the University. We are OOS, and my son was awarded the National Buckeye and Maximus Scholarships, but they are independent of the Scholars Program. Another interesting point to mention is that a student can only enter a Scholars program as an incoming freshman. A student can apply to also be a part of the Honors Program if they have a 3.5 after their first semester. Then they can be in both. But, you can’t start out in Honors and pick up Scholars later. Hope this is helpful info.
Thank you very helpful!
If you pick Scholars then Honors after first semester can you still get some type fo scholarship?
