Has anyone heard about Stony Brook's scholars for medicine program? Does anyone even look at posts about Stony Brook?

LOL i doubt i've been to this place in over a year, when I was considering the Scholars for Medicine program. I've heard of it. What do you want to know. PM me if you don't get a response.

btw, i'm going to be a freshman this fall at SBU in the Honors College

the program accepts kids who've been accepted to the Honors College and show exceptional blah blah blah in the medical field. They also look for Intel winners/finalists, NMSQT winners/finalists, and prestige. My mother's friend's daughter is in the program, and she is just about outgoing as you can get. She started multiple 'save-the-world' groups, and does that all the time. She is very independent and very conscious of society. Those types of go-getters are what they're looking for.

do we need to submit an additional app for regular admissions to be considered for both regular and honors/med program?

thanks!

I've heard this program is EXTREMELY selective. I have a friend whose sibling was rejected with a high GPA(mid-90's out of 100), SATs above 1400 and attended a NYC specialized high school.
