Can I be in both the Honors Program and the Scholars Program?
You cannot initially enroll in both programs as an incoming freshman. As a freshman applicant, you indicate your interest in being reviewed for membership in the University Honors & Scholars Center programs in “The Ohio State University Questions” on the Common Application (commonapp.org). Selection for Honors & Scholars is competitive. If selected,** you will only be offered acceptance into one program**. Please note that your only opportunity to join the Scholars Program is as an incoming freshman. However, currently enrolled Ohio State students (including transfer students) can pursue membership in the Honors Program at a later time. Therefore, Scholars students who meet Honors Program criteria after being on campus for at least one semester may apply to the Honors Program directly through their college of enrollment.
