Scholars Program--Are you Happy?

If you are part of the scholars program, or have been in the past, is there anything you would have done differently if u could go back in time (take advantage of certain activities?--which ones)?

Also, do you find that the scholars program gives you a significant advantage over regular cas students?

what are your high school stats? just wondering because my friend didnt get into the scholars but her stats were very high...(close to mine)

are you happy?

Scholars is giving me $10,000 a year so i like it just for that haha. havent started college but ill let u know

What is the difference between, Deans Scholars, University Scholars, and Presidential Scholars...?

Also is the Honors Program, the same thing as the Scholars Program?

fOR cas;
deans scholars: get no distinction later on(during schoolyear), but got invited in april to see the campus, with plane tickets paid; 25k scholarship and pres scholar program

pres scholars program; may or may not have been invited to the deans weekend; some scholarship; florence program; extra perks; must keep certain gpa...etc etc

the honors program in your major is something that anyone can participate in. however, if u are in the scholars program(pres scholars program) you MUST complete the honors program in your major to STAY a pres scholar

Hope this helps.

GO VIOLETS!

lol it does not really help...I am an Art Major, and I was put into the Deans Scholars Program...In the packet I got in March, before the Official decision letter, it stated that there were "University Scholars" and "Deans Scholars"...I wanted to know which one was better and what the differences between the two are...I understand Presidential Scholars are the College of Arts and Sciences version of the Deans Scholars...

what school??? i have never heard of university scholars...

So if I am a Dean's Scholar at Steinhardt, as an Art major...what does that mean for me...I was invited to a Brunch or "Sunday at the Square" however I live in New York so I am assuming that is why I was not taken by airplane...So based on what you told me I can assume that being a Deans Scholar is the better than being a Presidential Scholar and a person can be a Deans Scholar in any of NYU's schools or majors?

not based on what I told u...the deans scholar thing that i was talking about was just one weekend that i was invited to and only for cas...also, there is no special distinction given after the free trip there.

actually you are wrong, The Deans Scholars Program, is throughout every school...I called up and confirmed today...and I am at Steinhardt so obviously it is not only for College of Arts and Sciences students...

BUMP THE are u happy part of this convo...and the stats!

i was just accepted this year, but i got 20K a year, presidential scholar...
