Scholars Program Problems

So I never received my postcard or placement yet I filled out my interest inventory and have confirmation of it, what does this all mean?

It means you need to call them asap! 301-314-2777

Ahhh okay thanks! I called and they were just as confused as I was why I never got any further info but I got the program I wanted! Thanks for your help I appreciate it!

I know this is late in the game…but I have a problem. I got accepted into my 2nd choice program (which really wasn’t even my second choice; I just put that because the other program I wanted wasn’t allowed to be ranked as #2), and I really don’t like it. Is there a way to switch out?

It looks like you need to fill out a waitlist form…

From what I can tell, once they get a clear picture of who actually enrolls and what spaces become available, they’ll let you know if you can switch to the one you want.

Here’s the Q & A about the scholars waitlist

[College Park Scholars](http://scholars.umd.edu/admissions/waitlistinfo.cfm)

Is the program you got into a deal breaker? There are a lot of benefits to being in scholars. If I were you, I would fill out the waitlist request and see what happens. Hang in there - I hope it works out for you.

I don’t think it would be a deal breaker, but the thing is that I have medically proven reasons as to why the sciences would be very hard for me, and being in the program would just really stress me out.

Well, you probably should call the scholars program and talk to them directly about your situation.
