Hi. I just started my sophomore year at a small public university. I attend here with a full ride (full tuition+fees+room+board+$1500 a semester living expenses). My highest ACT Composite is 32, my high school GPA is ~3.975, and college GPA is ~3.92 with 45 credits hours. I am unhappy at my current university though and was wondering how much scholly money I could expect as a transfer student? Any universities known for awarding transfer schollies fully/mostly by ACT+GPA, and giving good/high schollies in particular? Doesn't have to be a great or high-ranked university. Just an average state school is fine. I don't know a way to look this up without going to every single university's web site, so just asking for help and advice. Thanks.

You have a full ride with living expenses and you want to change schools?? Remarkable.

Transfer scholarships are generally *much *less generous that freshman scholarships. You are very unlikely to get anywhere near the full ride you have now. I have not heard of any transfer scholarships being based on ACT scores or HS GPA. They will be interested in your college history now, not your HS record.

As an example the highest freshman scholarship at my daughter’s college (a State U) is a full ride. The highest transfer scholarship is a tuition waiver of @ $2,500.

It can happen. My D received very substantial scholarships from her (first) LA College, but was unhappy there. She took at shot at transferring (applying at the beginning of her 2nd semester), was accepted into a great program, with excellent university based scholarships equal to the first school. She’s now going into her 3rd year at school #2, which is a much better match for her overall. I couldn’t begin to know what criteria was used for school #2.
