Hi everyone!
I have a friend who applied for Berklee. He plays the viola, and he’s really really really good. His audition went very well except for the part where you have to recognize chords, and his interview was pretty good too. He’s from Venezuela, but fortunately our high school must be well known in Berklee since they’ve already accepted some people from there (it’s a music-focused high school). I’m sure he can get in, but how much could he get in a scholarship. He can’t afford going there without a outstanding scholarship so I’m pretty worried.
Unfortunately, there is no way for us to predict whether or not your friend may get a scholarship or how much any scholarship may be. He should be notified of any scholarship offer at the same time or shortly after he finds out if he gets in. My son got a scholarship email at the same time as his acceptance email. If he applied regular admission, he will be notified on March 31.
@SongandDanceMom Thanks for answering! I know it’s pretty unpredictable, but I thought that maybe someone would know how much they give in average. Congratulations to your son! Hope he has a great time there
No way to tell if he will get a scholarship. My son was offered a scholarship along with his admittance on December 15 (he was lucky in that he found out very very early). The last round of acceptances came out on January 31 and the next round will be sent out on March 31. Good luck to your friend.
Thanks! Congratulations to your son!
