Scholarship at Berklee

Hey! This is a question about the presidential scholarship at berklee.
I'm an international student who will apply for berklee in 2014 fall. I have already done my graduation in English and have now decided to completely focus on music. Now it's a silly question as it's the highest scholarship but I'll ask anyway. Am I eligible to be considered for the presidential scholarship? Or only students graduating from high school are eligible for it? It's not very clearly mentioned on their site so I'd be very much thankful to the people who reply :)

I suggest you call the Berklee’s admission office. It is well staffed and somebody will be able to accurately answer your question. Keep in mind that ALL Berklee scholarships are based on talent/audition and are highly competitive. There were a few years when anyone who was a solid musician could pretty much get a significant scholarship from Berklee. That is because the school was trying to build up their reputation and attempting to attract more serious musicians from all over the world. They were successful and these days getting a full-ride from Berklee is considerably harder than it was a decade ago.

That is also great advice to keep in mind where you hear about paying for it from others who are out awhile. My son went to a clinic given by a couple guys who attended Berklee (not sure if they completed or not) who are more modern/prog rock types. One of them gave the message that where there’s a will there’s a way (to attend and pay for Berklee that is). I had to follow that up at home with the reminder that the landscape has significantly changed in the last 10 or so years RE both the list price and the availability of scholarship money. One can’t just waive a wand and come up with 50k per year.
