Scholarship & Chance

A couple months ago my DS (jr) took his ACT and SAT cold (no prep) and scored as noted:

ACT - Composite 28

SAT - Reading - 540
Math - 640
Writing - 630

He has a 3.86 GPA and takes honors and AP's (following an engineering program).
In his jr. year he doubled up in the honors science - chem / physics (Grades - A's)

He is planning on taking (crazy kid) AP Cal & Physics as a SR. He makes me laugh, he just found some Cal class he could take on line over the summer to get ready.

Community service - Very engaged, there is a lot to mention.
Sports - 2
Varsity letters - At the end of his Sr. year he will have 7
Fundraises - Goes right up there with community service.
Leadership - Sports & Community
He takes 15 min's every night to review something on the ACT and SAT and 30 min on Saturday & Sunday (crazy kid). He said by doing a little he does not have to do a lot later.
This past weekend he took a practice test in both the SAT & ACT and scored as noted.

ACT - Composite 31

SAT - Reading - 620
Math - 700
Writing - 680

If he were to score in this area; what would that do for him at QU?

I'm just trying to get information as a parent so I can plan my own maney game. We already have one at UCONN and that comes at a cost of 30k a year. Another 56k begins to add up.

If there is any chance at a scholarship it helps with my planning.

From their NPC, a SAT from 1200-1340(Math + Cr) and top 25% in class rank would be $16k in merit scholarship.

31 ACT is $20k Trustee Scholarship
