<p>Just making sure I play my cards right. I feel like I have a higher chance of getting an abundant amount of scholarship money at SMU, more so than Vanderbilt, which has been my first choice for a while. I'd appreciate some more opinions :)</p>
<p>ACT- 30 (34-E, 28-M, 31-R, 27-S) Retaking Sept. 13th
SAT: 2220 (CR- 760, M-690, W-770) Plan on taking it again in October and aiming for a higher Math score. (Is it necessary?)
GPA: 4.0 UW, Cumulative GPA- 100.5
Class rank: 9/100, may have gone up, haven't found out yet
I have taken all honors courses. My school offers 5 AP courses and by the time I graduate I will have taken 4 of the 5. (AP Euro-3, AP US- 5) Next year I will be taking AP English and AP Calculus.</p>
<p>Extra Curriculars: Beta Club (10,11,12)
Excel Club- 11,12 (Leadership Position- Board Member) This is a club dedicated to raising money for the Carl Perkins Civic Center, one of our biggest sponsors.
Reading Scholars- (11,12) Each month you read a book from whatever the category for that month is and give a presentation in front of a panel of teachers and they choose a winne. I have won twice so far.
FCA- 9,10,11,12
National Honor Society- 12
Student Government- 12
Selected to be a Junior Volunteer at the hospital (4 hours a week, by the time I apply I will have completed about 180ish hours at the hospital alone)
Miscellaneous volunteering at RIFA, Area Relief Ministries, other non-profits, community events, and school events (ushering at graduation and senior awards day etc.) I also did a bit of peer tutoring. </p>

Selected as "Best of the Best" 9th, 10th, and 11th (this is a schoolwide faculty-nomination thing but I guess it's still valid haha)

There's also a chance of me being nomiated as a Jr. Rotary Club member my senior year</p>

<p>Teacher Reccomendations- should be amazing considering all the things I get nominated for haha
Counselor Recommendation- I've developed a personal relationship with her so it should be far from generic</p>
<p>Essay- Well, I like it. I wrote it about how I used to have contempt for my heritage due to skewed perception of Africa that Americans have but now I've embraced it.</p>
<p>I will probably be double majoring in Biochemistry and Spanish.</p>
