Scholarship chances?

I’m shocked that your son didn’t get any scholarship money with his terrific stats. I had a 30 on the ACT, which was high enough for them to give me $5K a year and in-state tuition. I’m a junior now, and living in an apartment because of the huge bumper crop of freshmen again this year. Perhaps that had something to do with why your son didn’t get any scholarship, even though he deserves it (in my worthless opinion.)

I agree with the above ^ poster, Matt, about calling them to talk to them. If you can, perhaps a campus visit might help your case if it’s not too far to drive. Good luck to you and your son, and to everyone who wants to “call the hogs.” WPS!!!

I’m suprised that y’all have already been notified. My D submitted an application with a 35 ACT and 4.2 out of 4.0 GPA. She has not heard a thing.

@BBDARK- If she didn’t apply by November 15th, then she wasn’t eligible for these scholarships(I think). If she applied before November 15th and hasn’t gotten an email, then it might be a good idea to contact the admissions office and figure out what the deal is… However, they should be sending out notifications of the Honors fellowship scholarship around the 15th, I think.
