I'm applying for all the scholarships I can, including danforth which I was nominated for. I know the scholarships are EXTREMELY competitive, but I'm hoping for the best. Any thoughts on my scholarship chances are appreciated.

Thanks

You recommendations, your research, and most importantly, your essays, are key here. If your essays aren't excellent, then you'll have probs.

thanks, any other thoughts from veterans?

OH, also--not sure if this is still true, but my understanding is that last year there was some overlap between the danforth and the honorary scholars committees... so, don't turn in the same essay twice, basically (which is what I oh-so-wisely did)

^^ That's definitely true.

oh so basically for the Danforth, I need a separate essay, but all the others can be the same if they all apply to prompt?

Kindof off topic, but does anyone know how many people actually are invited to apply for the Danforth scholarship? I was nominated, but I'm not sure if I'm even applying to wustl. I wanna know my chances for getting scholarships first 'cause wustl is freakin' expensive compared to other places I'm applying
