scholarship chances

Tulane is awesome first of all.

Heres some stats.

GPA: 92
Rank: top 7%
SAT: 1380 m+v 2060 total

Some good/decent EC's.

I believe that my recoomendations will be good.
still working on the essay :-)

ohh yea from the northeast if geographic diversity matters..

yah youll definitely get something. I received 18 grand a year with a 29 ACT and 96 GPA. so you will get something substantial, I'm guessing.

Based on prior year DSA/Founders, you have a good chance. Consider trying for the DHS also (this one does require a separate app). It could happen.

yea i'm from new orleans and i go to tulane like everyday and being from the northeast doesn't help you because like only 10% are from louisiana - the rest northeast and texas but the stats are perfect for tulane

christina,
what kind of conditions are tulane and new orleans in currently? Is everything back in full swing or are the effects of the hurricane still in full fledge?

it really looks great! you see tulane is in Uptown and in the nicest area of new orleans, the garden district. both are locted right by the "natural" levee which is the mississippi river, which physically cannot break unlike the cement levee breaches, so that's why uptown did not flood. so tulane looks great! there's one area by the reilly fitness center in the WAAAAAAAAAY back that's still gettin renovated but like no one goes there cuz there's nothing to do there anyway.. as for new orleans its really not bad at all.. my parents work there and they say downtown is well (saks fifth avenue just opened wednesday! :) ) the lakeside and lower 9th ward will be under reconstruction for a while, but both are like completely out of town...

so the conclusion is its amazing! and even some buildings are completely new because they used this time to renovate everything (omg the new student union is amazing! it's all glass!) and all the students are so happy and proud of their school that it just brings an awesome atmosphere there!

Tulane is financially strong. I think you will get at least 22K.

what about transfer students how is financial aid for them.

I think you'll get 18k
