Scholarship check

For this one scholarship that I have, I have yet to fill out the form required in order to get my money. I was planning to have it filled out when I arrive on campus after move in day. But what I am wondering is how the money will be given to me. Everything has been paid off and I have already received my refund through EFT (pending). This means that the money from the scholarship should be given back to me, right?

The thing is, the check will be sent to and for the school. Does that mean that the school will give me another check for the money at a much later date? How would this work? Would I still get the money?

I am in the same boat tneiba. I did fill out a form, attached a W-9, University Tax Id number, Proof of enrollment, etc. I have paid in full my tuition fees, so I am wondering the same. Will the school reimburse me with a check later?

Anyone knows?

Thanks.

You were supposed to notify Berkeley that a scholarship check is coming, it says it all over the financial aid website and on bear facts when you log on to the financial aid section. I thought I could get scholarship money refunded back to me in this way but when I emailed a financial aid officer and asked they said they may not be able to use the money at all if this happens, somehow I think she was just trying to scare me because I doubt anyone would stay quiet if they sent Berkeley a $1000 check and they decided to disregard it because fees were already paid. My advice to you is to call the financial aid office and tell them.

what about when i have the actual check but its addressed to cal?

sooo this form that everyone filled out ... is it that "Outside Resource Form" because i filled that out and sent in not a check ... but this letter i got from the scholarship people saying that i got some money ... and the people to "send" the money directly to the school ..

Firep.. my D has one of those and she is planing to take it the financial aid office after she moves in.

Scholarships like the Byrd and Alumni tend to show up after all the fees have been paid and are simply passed through via EFT once processed

Ok. I'm getting more confused. haha

Well, I did inform the school by going to my offer letter and typing in the amount of the outside scholarship. They fixed my financial aid accordingly.
My problem is that all of my costs were paid by my other scholarship already and I have already got my refund. This "new" scholarship that I have will be sent to the school but since there isn't anything left to pay, I'm wondering whether I would get the money back to me or not.
