scholarship check

i have been trying to check the status of my application for scholarships in howdy under the myrecord tab, but i can't find anything that would tell me my status. anyone know how?

i made a topic about this recently. Basically, go to the applicant information system where you checked your acceptance. Then go down to a tab that says documents. Under that tab, it will list all paper work received by tamu. If you want to know for sure, you should email them.

I’m curious if the engineering scholarships may be waiting on FAFSA-filings? I know they are largely merit, but the application kept asking “need-type” questions!

If I remember correctly, my engineering scholarship was one of the last ones I was notified of. Is there still a separate application for it? There was a couple of years ago.

they put everything into one scholarship application. so one application serves as an app for university and departmental scholarships. you just had to check off a section saying you wanted to be considered for departmental scholarships. one thing I heard from a meeting at tamu engineering was that specific departments do not like to give scholarships to incoming freshman because they cannot garuntee their commitment to the major. I would say that the chances are there but not in large quantity. By the way, the honors college who runs much of the scholarship process replied to my email about application status. So if you are in doubt about whether it has been received, don’t hesistate to ask them. Scholarships start coming out in March.

thanks! that really helps, and I will try giving them a email to make sure my scholarship application is being processed.
