<p>I doubt they’ve posted them all already, after all they’re still not done with decisions and they even pushed back the decisions date. No need to get worried now! We’ve done such a good job of waiting so far (especially because we had to wait about a month longer than people for other EA/ED schools), and we’re in the home stretch! Plus, they weren’t working today so they’ll probably be posting more tomorrow! :D</p>

<p>That’s a really good way to look at it. I bet they’re going to send out letters out in batches. When likely letters were going out, I lost all hope when I didn’t get one. But I got one after New Years Day, well after most people got theirs. They’ve gotta be expecting to send out more letters, especially if they haven’t made all of the decisions.</p>

<p>anyway, i highly doubt i’ll get one (scholarship day invite), considering i live 30 seconds away from UNC and would have gotten one saturday. keep in mind that there are still some ways to get merit scholarships even if you aren’t invited to scholarship day! i just want to find out if i’m accepted, i couldn’t care less about getting a scholarship…it doesn’t mean that much to me.</p>
<p>Well, Julie confirmed that all Scholarship Day invites were sent on Friday… but there wasn’t mail yesterday so we all still have hope :)</p>

I’m surprised that it doesn’t seem like many people here have found out OOS through their portals, but I’m glad we have our answers regardless.</p>
<p>Has anyone found out strictly through their portals (no letter to back it up yet)?</p>
<p>My oldest daughter did not get invited to Scholarship Day, but did get into the Honors program. She thinks, after comparing notes with other folks in the Honors Program, that getting in is based mostly on your essays. My second daughter, who is applying this year, has gotten an invitation to Scholarship Day. Second daughter has slightly higher class rank and substantially higher SAT scores than first daughter. We live in NC.
But don’t stress–UNC has tons of programs, clubs and activities that can keep you busy, happy and headed towards any goal you might choose. EVERYONE who gets into Carolina should be proud of themselves.</p>
<p>Has anyone from Raleigh received an invitation? I attend one of the top public schools and I have not heard of anyone getting one yet even though we live so close of Chapel Hill…</p>

<p>same AKV2010…i live in raleigh, and i’m not at one of the top publics, but we have a couple kids who i would have thought would have gotten invites, but i haven’t heard anything from ANYONE who lives in raleigh, not even just my school…</p>

<p>ahh! i havent received any of these letters? i’m kinda confused too. my essays were so good! like i loved them. and now i’m seeing stats and im the same (if not better) than like everybody. why hasnt unc sent me anything??? (sorry. i freak out a lot…) what exactly do you need to get one of these golden tickets?!</p>
