Scholarship Decisions?

Hi guys! I just wanted to start this thread to ask when the Trustee/Presidential/Dean's scholarship notifications come out. I guess it'd be mainly directed to people from previous years. Should we expect them by the end of April? Truthfully, I had thought they would've been mailed by now.
Thanks!

My S received his letter on March 25 or 26 last year. They have Explore interviews into March, so it takes them some time to sort out who will get the various awards. Hang tight and good luck.

i got the dean's scholarship notification several weeks ago (sry, don't remember exactly when).

Does anyone know what kind of scores/grades/etc you need to qualify?

SRaddd- Look at the Stats Only thread. Most of the students accepted in January and February were invited to interview for the Trustee or Presidential scholarships or will receive the Deans so you can get a general idea. Of course scholarship candidates are not completely chosen based on stats as the entire application is taken into account.

Okay, thanks guys! :) I'll be waiting till then..

when do national merit finalists get notified about the presidential scholarship?

I think you automatically get the presidential if you are a NMF, as long as you put USC as your #1 school.

Yeah, my friend got the notification right about when the other scholarship finalists were notified..mid-February.

do you have to apply for the deans/presidential , or do they choose from regular applicants? The USC website is pretty vague about it.

Just submit the regular application but-
"You must apply for admission by December 1st to be considered for USC merit scholarships."
USC Financial Aid - Grants & Scholarships - Undergraduate - USC Scholarships

During Explore USC, the financial aid guy said that financial aid letters for scholarship recipients will come out during the 1st week of April. But he's probably giving himself some leeway, so I would agree with whoever said the last week of March.

I just went back a year in threads and their scholarship decision letters were postmarked 03/21, which was a Friday last year. So, theoretically, the letters could be mailed tomorrow. ANXIOUS

PLEASEEEEEEE, let them mail them tomorrow. I want to knowwwwww even if it's bad news so I at least know! I hate this waiting game. torture, much? ):

Not here ;(

do you have to be interviewed for the scholarships?
so if I didnt get interviewed, I did not get any scholarships?

^ no i don't think so i know interviews are for presidential/trustee/and a few others but my cousin last year got scholarships with his finaid package w/o interview

you can get Dean's scholarship (1/4 tuition) without interview

waiting for this is the worst part! We should hear it this week guys!

There is also the University Scholarship which is given at the time of your financial aid package which is merit based and does not require an interview.
