<p>God, I am so nervous. I cannot wait until the SoCal kids get them, because that means it is only a couple more days until I do. At least then I will have a definite date. Waiting is not hear as bad when you know the date. This whole "this week" notion is killing me.</p>

<p>cc411, I got a note in Feb from usc that I did not qualify for scholarship, but not to get disappointed, I may still get considered for other scholarships., etc (I believe this was sent to everyone who applied before Dec 1 but did not get scholarship in Jan/Feb). If I am admitted in March, do I get to know about these "other" scholarships now? When will I know about scholarship/tuition discount etc. I don't believe I qualify for need-based stuff.</p>

<p>I thought the national merits came out a long time ago in February for those who had already put USC as their top choice. Perhaps if you changed it recently to USC, it will? I'm not really sure.
mango.lassi-I'm not sure, so don't completely take my word on this, but I thought I read in another thread that all the scholarships and grants come out in the financial aid package during the first week of March.</p>

<p>Mango.lassi - When you got the letter letting you know that there would be other scholarships it was probabaly refering a number of other possiblities. First there is a series of scholarships that had a December 10th deadline including Town & Gown, Alumni Club, SCion and others. Here's a link for most of them:</p>
<p>Then there is the University Scholarship which is merit based and does not require an interveiw or application, but is awarded by USC and you will find out if you received it when you get your financial aid package. See Post #20 above in this thread.</p>
<p>There are others from the various departments but i have no real knowledge how they work.</p>

<p>I am guessing that merit aid is still considered financial aid and so if you get awarded the University or other merit scholarships that you would still get a Financial Aid Award Letter. I would call the financial aid office to confirm that though.</p>

<p>My D's Trustee scholarship letter last year was dated March 21, probably received it the 22nd as we are in So Cal.

<p>LOL CollegeFrenzy. Just reading through last year's Trustee thread gave me post-traumatic(of a good kind)-stress. They mailed the Trustee notifications on a Friday last year, and perhaps this Friday will be the day.</p>
<p>That was an awesome thread madbean. How fun and exciting that must have been to open that letter last year. Now you get to reap the benefits.</p>
<p>I checked the mail today and nothing from USC. The suspense continues...</p>
