Swoopes2 is in Philadelphia I think - don’t know what school - but Trustee!!! Wonderful!

Question - where do you see the web refreshed note?

Thank you i am very excited. I will most likely be going to USC. FYI I interviewed for trustee in Marshall

Can anyone help me by telling me what the processing date is on your CSS and FAFSA stuff? (under your documents link)

Now I am totally confused - I clicked on Jack1232’s link, logged in and found a page that said i was awarded Presidential and other awards - come of which were need based like a University Grant - but I did not even apply for Financial Aid - i was so excited i shut the page and when I tried to log in again it says “no information available” - and I can’t find a “web refreshed” date anywhere - what do you think is going on???

Ok I go to see my freshmen play a baseball game and I come back here and all heck breaks loose and everyone knows their financial aid packages but me!!

I log into Oasis and confirm they have all my documentation and then I hit “my 2009-10 awards” and all I get is “no information available”.

I had called the financial aid office today for other reasons and they said my package was being worked on, but I was thinking we all would be hearing later on this week.

This is so frustrating!!!

Has anybody heard back for the NM Presidential who designated USC as their first choice school? And is this scholarship only for freshman or can it be renewed for all 4 years?

It is for all four years. I think it should show up in your financial aid package.

is it included in “university grant”? doesnt say NMF anywhere

Presidential - finally!

Congratulations josie17!! That it awesome!!

I know you are in Orange County so maybe there is hope for our letter today too.

Congrats to everyone who has heard back already
argh so nervous my stomach is actually doing flips!!! I want to know already. Dying to start at USC if I could I would jump on a plane tomorrow and start! Already wearing my USC sweatshirt everywhere. It’s well travelled to… started in LA has been to Singapore, Chicago, New Zealand, Sydney, Paris (Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame… Champs Elysees)… it’s a very well travelled sweatshirt!

im pretty confused. it says i got the presidential scholarship but i never knew i was eligible for that…i got my acceptance at the end of january but never received anything about scholarships so i never interviewed or anything but now it says i got the presidential award…

beeish, what a lucky sweatshirt you have!!! i’ve got to know, how does a high school senior manage to travel the world, especially in such a short time, (that is, if you’ve managed to cover all that territory since the interviews) ??

thejobe, are you a NMF? If you designated USC as you #1 choice you automatically get Presidential without the need for an interview.

Fight On!

Ok so we got nothing in the mail today regarding the Presidential and nothing on Oasis.

Others in Orange County have received their letters so I’m thinking we’re not looking too promising here. I did call Admissions and they say letters are still being sent out and not to check in until after Saturday.

Fight On!

CollegeFrenzy, why is it not too promising? Fin aid is not like admission, if you applied for financial aid you WILL receive a package. They have THOUSANDS of financial aid packages to put together, and the fact they have already notified some people ahead of last year’s schedule is amazing. They aren’t giving out less to you just because you haven’t gotten it yet! As for the scholarship letters, EVERYONE hears back. The good news and bad all goes out together (I think one post-er mentioned a friend who received the “Director’s” after interviewing for Presidential, so it is clear the bad news is NOT being held until the end).

I think things look VERY promising for you! You’re IN! Most likely a scholarship at a highly-ranked very selective university! YAY!

I’ve actually graduated… and wasnt interviewing for scholarships I just got frustrated about waiting so I thought I would post here anyways… read I had too many windows open and forgot which were the scholarship threads and which were general financial aid…

Thanks for putting things in perspective alamemom. I realize that both financial aid and admissions are overwhelmed right now and that I shouldn’t be assuming that a delayed letter means a less favorable result. I know it won’t in regard to our Financial Aid Package, I was more focused on the merit aid letter. But your point well taken.

We are grateful for the opportunity and I guess I need to exercise a little patience and not make any assumptions until the results come in. We’ll be hoping for the best.

Fight On!

I got the Presidential!!! yay :)
