So I was awarded a $10,000 Xerox scholarship, I just got it in the mail today, which is awesome and I'm very happy. But I haven't gotten the rest of my FA package. I was wondering if I could expect it soon? I thought scholarship letters were supposed to come with the financial aid package.

I don't mean to seem impatient, but everything my family does is dependent on the FA package, and we need to know to plan around it.

Does the scholarship come with the admission letter? Did you get the Xerox award from UR in high school?
D. got the Kodak award ($7500/year) last year in high school but there was no scholarship mentioned in the admission letter she got today.

Sorry, I was confused, it wasn’t actually a Xerox award, it was the Joseph C. Wilson “Change” scholarship. My fault.

I got my admissions letter about 2 weeks ago. I’ve been waiting for my FA package, today I got a letter about the scholarship but not the rest of my FA package, and I was wondering if I should be expecting it soon, and if the scholarship was the reason it might be delayed.

You will be getting your FA award soon. The merit scholarship comes separately from the FA award because merit aid is administered by the Admissions Office, and the FA award is administered by the Financial Aid office. The FA office then uses the merit scholarship in its calculations for the FA award.

I got my acceptance today and I was awarded the Xerox award as well is that worth 7500 or 10000 just wondering. The University did not mention that in my letter. When should I be getting that scholarship information?

Sorry, I had the Xerox award confused with a different scholarship. I don’t know anything about it, just waiting for my regular financial aid offer.
