Oh yes I should have made it clearer that I was looking for a private scholarship. My family is in a very bad financial situation and can’t afford anything more than 6,000 USD a year, so I need a private scholarship to increase my chances at those need-sensitive schools (for international students like me).

I just graduated in December 2011 from a Junior College (high school) in Singapore.

My test scores are pretty bad. There’s no GPA here, and my SAT was only 2080.
My midterm had only 1 A and a few Cs, plus a fail grade for chemistry
Though I had 2400 for SAT Subject Tests (physics, chemistry and math2)

The things that make me slightly more competitive lie outside of the school. I have an independent computing project that is, according to multiple researchers from several institutions, either at or beyond the graduate level. Some of those researchers/professors referred to me as genius (though I don’t think I am). Apart from that, I’m also pretty productive in theoretical neuroscience, artificial intelligence and philosophy.

I’m applying to UChicago, Upenn, Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford, Northwestern, Tufts, Rice, Williams College and Carleton College. What’s your advice?
