I am from Germany and I am currently spending a year in the USA. I am a senior in high school here but the school won´t give me diploma which is fine. After this year I have two more school years in Germany so enough time to plan and make decisions.

I was thinking about attending college in the USA but I would probably need some kind of financial aid because the whole thing is very expensive from my perspective.

Here I am one of the leaders of my class with a GPA 4.7 and all A´s. I recently got a 29 on my ACT (E:35, M:32, R:22, S:26, E/W:33). In Germany I was one of the best students off my class too. I am involved in many after school activities (mostly sports: Soccer V-Letter) but I think I won´t be able to play on a college sports team.

Is it possible for me to be acepted by a good university and supported with some kind of financial aid?

When the US economy recovers. This year saw far fewer students get sufficient aid but you have two years so it should be fine.
Your overall app. Get good recs and write good essays. Also try and get that ACT score up or take the SAT instead
All in all you look in decent shape

First, it can’t just be, in most cases, because it’s expensive from your perspective. US colleges are from every European’s perspective. Most of the money available goes to those who can prove financial need, so your family would have to be low income.

Next, even if your family is of modest income it’s likely they will have to contribute much, much more than a German college would cost them, so make sure they’re on board for that.

The vast majority of money goes to the very best students from their country. Plan to do very well the next 2 years and to increase your scores significantly.
