Hi, I have been admitted for Fall 2013, and I am hoping someone can help me out with the scholarships. SDSU seems unlike any other school, since it does not automatically consider students for some scholarships. Does SDSU not have any merit based awards? Am I just confused? HELP PLEASE!! I have pretty high stats, 3.55 uw GPA and a 31 on the ACT, so my dad is on me about getting scholarships if I go to SDSU since I have been admitted to some "better"(his words, not mine) schools (ie Tulane and U of Miami).

San Diego State University is a California public school. They do not have merit based aid. Some California resident students will receive California government scholarships, but I do not believe there are any automatic government scholarships for out of state students.

You may want to visit SDSU website and search to see if they have other types of scholarships.
