Scholarship/Honors letter

To those who have been accepted into honors and gotten scholarships, did the letters come together or separate?
Also, was mail the only way you found out about honors/scholarships or is there some sort of email or online notification thing?

You need to go on One Stop, check on the right hand column for financial aid and log in. Our status was just updated to FAFSA received and it had instructions on where to look for your financial aid award (ours was not done yet).

Mine came in different letters. I was accepted in November, got the scholarship letter in December and the honors letter a couple days ago. I actually first found out I was in honors from a phone call from UMN…however, they seemed to assume I had already gotten the letter so I think the letter was supposed to come first.

Wait, so you have to have your FAFSA in before they start reviewing what scholarships you get? What about the merit stuff?

No FAFSA or Profile required for merit stuff. Son’s scholarships came in one packet. Admission to honors was a separate letter. There was so much communication, I can’t remember the order. A few days ago he got an email saying that he could apply for honors housing.

I applied in early November and was accepted around two or three weeks later.
My honors letter came three weeks later and then another two weeks went by until I got my scholarship offers. I only found out about everything through the mail - I don’t think you can see your scholarships online.

thanks for the input guys! i guess ill just keep checking the mail…

I got my honors letter only a couple of weeks after being accepted and then later on that week I spoke to an admissions counselor about my scholarship package. I got the scholarship letter the following week. I didn’t hear from them by email at all… but I recently found out that they had the wrong email address for me on file, so who knows…

They’re supposed to get all honors/scholarships decisions out by the end of March right? So…just 26 days to wait.

yup! i just hope i dont end up waiting for nothing…
