Scholarship Information

I'm a transfer student getting read to to apply to USC, but I was wondering if anybody here knew how they base their scholarships ? is it based on need/efc ? or GPA ? or sat/act scores ?.

I have a pretty low EFC (in the mid 3k) and have a 3.935 GPA in college so far (with a loaded schedule) and a 3.8ish GPA in high school. I graduated HS with honors, but my ACT score in high school was not very good (in the 50th and then 75th percentile), will this ACT score affect my chances at a scholarship ? or is it all need and GPA-based ?

I'm assuming since ACT scores don't factor into admissions for transfer students, they shouldn't matter for scholarships either, is this reasoning right ? or am I pretty much screwed ?

Most merit scholarships are awarded to incoming freshman. However, a limited number of scholarships are available to continuing students: http://www.usc.edu/admission/fa/sg/continuing_undergrad_meritbased/

That said, USC pledges to meet 100% of need for all students (but they have a slightly different way of calculating efc) so if your efc is that low, you can expect a large grant.
