you probably were. im a trustee nominee and i got one. maybe it had something to do with your school/major that you already chose?

sanjosedad, one of my friends is currently in FSH and TO.
and fedalis, I am in the same boat as you. I got an FSH letter but not TO. and I'm doing econ which would mean it makes more sense to get TO then FSH.

Sometimes the TO office doesn't send everyone a letter by mistake- if you are a scholarship nominee, you can get an application at Explore USC. There will be a TO info session there, so look into that.

Yep, I saw that on the schedule that there is a TO session. I was accepted to business administration. Well, I am flying out for explore usc this week. Does anyone have any advice ? Like, should I bother to bring copies of resumes for the interview or just look over my own application.

You don't need a resume- at least I don't think so- you may want to ask someone from Marshall. You certainly don't need one for the college, as the interviewers will be looking at your application before you walk in. Make sure to review your application first.

if you get a scholarship call (but haven't won the scholarship yet) from USC,does that mean you're automatically accepted, or have a higher chance of acceptance?

even scholarships not merit-based but lets say something like community service.etc....?

Uhm... if they want to give you money to go there, then I bet you have a chance of getting accepted..

if you're already nominated for a scholarship, you've already been accepted.

It depends on which scholarship you're talking about.
In this thread, this parent (username "cpc") reported otherwise:

^^^i know about scholarships like town and gown, presidential's, etc.. usually means you will/ are accepted.

but what about the NTSAF?
it's the Norman Topping Student Aid Fund Scholarship
because USC said they didn't nofity based on financial need
thanks guys!

Explore USC is really fun, definitely go if you can!

Got my letter that I wouldn't be getting one of the big scholarships, but I could still get one of the minor ones.

yeah i got mine a little while a go
just curious, but what are the other ones that we could be considered for?

is it as prestigious as the other scholarships available?
especially since it's not merit based, but i guess USC gives scholarships for like talent, service, etc... too

the rule of thumb for bringing in a new resume is if you have something important happen to you since you've turned in your application (i.e. earned your Eagle Scout, got nominated for a senior scholarship by your school etc)

otherwise, I'll go with Nikara (depends on the school) but my personal opinion is that if it's the same as the information you had in your application, then there's no need for a resume since it's just redundant

edit: sorry that was @ feladis

Does anyone know the attire for the interview. I am traveling from NY and I am wondering what I should pack. Will I even have access to an iron? I don't want to show up like a wrinkled mess! I will be there March 3-4th.

Thanks for any advice!

I'm pretty sure that this question has been answered elsewhere, so search around. You most likely won't have access to an iron- most students don't have one.

As a matter of fact, here is a thread from a few weeks ago on the topic-

Does anyone one what "Parent's Documentation of Term/Reduction" is? I checked on my USC OASIS account, and it says I need to submit it.

Thanks Nikara! I found the thread you were talking about. I guess I am really struggling how to travel from the east coast with just a carry-on with clothes that are dressy enough but will not wrinkle! Hmmm...I will figure it out!
