I’ve been invited to interview for a full tuition scholarship at one school I applied to. What is normally asked at these type of interviews? How would you suggest preparing for this (it’s in about 2 weeks)? Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
I don’t think you need to prepare. All they know about you is numbers, gpa, test scores, maybe some extracurricular activities mentioned in your application and maybe your work ethic from LOR. This is a chance for them to get to know you as a person.
I would be prepared to talk about “why this school” and what you plan to do there. Particular programs that interest you and that would benefit from your participation - both classes and ECs.
My son has already gone through three of these, and each one is totally different. The only main link is why that school and make sure you are really familiar with the school and what your interest is in that school.
Ok, thank you!
Also, I assume this will be less casual than an admissions interview held at a Starbucks for example? Is it appropriate for a young woman to wear a suit jacket and dress pants (I feel as though I speak and act more professionally when dressed in such a manner)?
