scholarship letters are out

i just got my acceptance letter to usc today - yay! - but i didn't see any mention of scholarships :( and it seems like everyone that's gonna get one has already received theirs. so does that mean i'm out of the running? there's no way i can afford to go without aid. my family makes about $55000 a year and EFC currently stands at around $5000.

i'm a national merit semifinalist and i definitely expect to advance to finalist standing. i'm still good at least for 1/2 tuition thing, right?

here are my stats, just in case:

Rank: 1/595
GPA: 4.0
SAT I: 800 V, 770 M, 760 W (2330 in one sitting)
SAT II: Math I - 760; Math II - 720; Literature - 730; US History - 75o
ACT: 34 composite
AP: 5 - Psychology, English Lang, US History, World History
Extracurriculars: NHS (President), FBLA (VP), BPA (President), HOSA (member-at-large); cofounded mentoring/tutoring group

thanks guys!

Yea, as long as you're a NMF & declare USC your 1st choice by the College Board deadline, you are guaranteed at least a 1/2 Tuition Presidential Scholarship for being a NMF. In addition, since your EFC is so low, your family will likely get substantial need-based Financial Aid, as long as you file ALL your docs on time, including the Profile & turn in your tax returns, etc. Good luck & congrats! My S didn't get notified of his USC acceptance until March 2006.
