For the WUSTL scholarships, how long does it usually take for them to upload all of your materials into the system? I ask because I sent all my letters of rec thursday through snail mail, and it still says that they haven't received them. On another note, how concerned should I be should my letters not reach them by the 15th, but rather around a day or 2 later?

Washu was stressing the deadline received by 15 Jan so you might be cutting it close, it took mine 4 days to post

As far as I know, WashU uses the postmark deadline, so you should be fine even if the materials get there a day or two late.

They just posted something on their website saying this: All application materials must be received by our office no later than 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 17, 2012. The online application for Academic Scholarship & Fellowship Programs will be unavailable after 5:00 p.m. Central Time on Tuesday, January 17. All scholarship materials will be sent to the faculty committees on Tuesday, January 17 for review.

Please note that our office will be closed on Monday, January 16 for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. Because the office is closed, we will not be available to accept deliveries Saturday, January 14 through Monday, January 16.

I’m a bit confused as to how to interpret the update. Does that mean that online applications can be submitted after today and still be considered on time as long as they are submitted before the final deadline on Tuesday?

^^ Does anyone know the answer to this???

No, they mean that your personal online portion is due on the 15th and the additional materials are due on the 17th to allow some extra time for the postal service and/or other people.

at CHEMICALBURN

is this true? Did you call the admissions office? I’m not challenging you in anyway, I just want to know if I should just rush the rest of my online scholarship application or if I still have time to perfect it, without the added stress.

tHANKS :)

I believe Chemicalburn is wrong; all other sources seem to indicate it is ok to submit the online app today or early tomorrow; in addition, the online application is still up, indicating they’ll still accept it. Either way, I’d just try submitting it, it can’t hurt…

I gave the letter of rec info to my teachers several weeks ago and they still haven’t arrived. Is the deadline strict? I don’t want to bug my teachers about it until I know…

I called Admissions today and was told the scholarship deadline is definitely today. They are very strict about receiving all scholarship application material, including LORs, by 5 pm today, no exception.

What happens if we sent in the LOR as part of our original application? I had an extra LOR sent in when I applied, but when I go to materials on file for the Ervin Scholarship, it does not show it.

Should I call and ask?
