I was accepted in late November and still haven't heard back. Have any of you received any scholarships? If yes, when were you notified? Thanks!!

My son was accepted to UM-TC late October and accepted to CS honors about a week later…still no scholarship notification. Last year people started posting in early December about scholarship notifications. I’ve only seen one parent say they received the NMS scholarship. This year, the University-wide Scholarships page says notifications are sent out in late March.

So I got my scholarship packet on Christmas eve (postmarked from the 20th). I got the oos gold national, as well as a national merit gold scholar, honors program, and study abroad scholarships. I’m not sure it this reflects the timing overall because they may have a different time-frame for national merit, but I was accepted to cse, in late November and got honors probably a week before the scholarships came.

We are waiting patiently to see if Minnesota offers any scholarship money. My daughter was accepted to CSE – received the letter in the mail on November 16th. Her ACT score is 29 (31 super score), with her highest scores in Math (36) and Science (31). She has a 4.0 UW GPA (4.7 W), and is ranked 5 out of 500+.

We are not expecting Honors since it looks like the average ACT for engineering students is 34.1, but we thought she had a good shot at the Gold National Scholarship given her class rank and GPA.

My daughter is leaning towards Illinois, but we would like to see how the dollars shake out. Too bad we live in a state with relatively high in-state tuition.

DD got her acceptance into CSE in late October - got Gold National notification in November. Holding out hope that she can get into the Honors program and possibly more scholarship awards. 2260 SAT - only sitting.

I have seen in several places where people are hearing about the Gold National within about 4 weeks of being accepted…maybe it’s not in the cards for my daughter. We’ll see.

Scholarship came last week…he just got the one that covers the OOS portion of tuition (can’t remember the name.)

Congratulations MommyDearest13. Renewed hope for my daughter.

Good luck! I wish I could transfer it to you. Not enough to keep UM in the running since he already has 3 full tuition offers.

The average ACT for engineering students is 34.1? That can’t be right. If I recall correctly, it was 31.6 last year.

My son applied to the engineering college in late September as an OOS. He should have the numbers to get in, but so far, nothing.

riporin - I think there are two numbers at play. One being the average for CSE and the other the average for CSE Honors.

Ah, I see. If you are OOS, does the state where you apply from having any bearing on admission?

DS just received his scholarship notification today. $10,000 year for 4 years. He was accepted into CSE and honors college. We are OOS.

Son received College of Science and Engineering Freshman scholarship today for $10,000 each year for 4 years. He received Gold National in December. Applied early fall. 36 act, national merit commended.

How we you all notified? Will this information be available through the online tracker or are these scholarships obtained through mail only?

It arrived mail, haven’t checked tracker.

Alright, which state are you from?

My daughter’s scholarship arrived in the mail as well. She received the Gold National Scholarship which covers the full difference between in state and OOS tuition. Last she checked, the scholarship was not on her application tracker.

I got my scholarship offer in the mail today! I got the Gold National, Bentson, and Cyrus Northrop scholarships.

Pseudoqutient, would you mind posting your stats? I haven’t received a scholarship notification yet and I’m curious to see how other people are situated. Thanks!
