Has anyone been notified of merit scholarship consideration?

My son has not heard anything yet.

For the Presidential Scholarships, finalists are notified at the beginning of March; winners are announced at the end of March. For all other merit scholarships that require interviews, students will be notified at the end of March. So it will be a while before anyone hears (assuming the information about notifications is up to date on the WFU website).

Actually, for those scholarships requiring interviews, students have been notified that they are being invited to interview in late January in the past couple of years. So those receiving invitations should get an email by early next week. Crossing my fingers for an email from Wake!

Okay, thanks. Good to know. I was just pulling the information from the WFU website.

Do they pick who to interview just from their applications?

Yes, as long as you applied by December 1st.

Yes. I’ve already been accepted ED too. Im nervous nowww…

Anybody hear anything yet?

Nothing yet.

I guess it’ll be sometime this week

Still nothing… I wish there was a for sure date…

Anyone hear anything today?

Nothing yet. I hope they don’t make us wait until next week.

Really nerve-wracking

So much stress in waiting. pLease someone let us know if you’ve been notified so l can stop being stressed

Nothing here either. I know that they do not contact many students but it would be nice to hear if this has already taken place. Anyone?

OK. I bit the bullet and made the call. This is what I was told:

There will be two scholarship weekends for different programs (don’t know which is which):
February 22-23 - students will be notified in the next week.
March 20-23 - students will be notified around March 1st

I may have gotten the actual weekend dates wrong (maybe three days instead of two) but those are the weekends I was told. I asked how the notifications would come out and she said probably email and/or phone call.

Thanks @jrmama496. Really hoping l get some type of invite, l heard they are a lot more generous to Carolina residence but most students who got I invited ended up with good financial aid packages and scholarship. Fingers crossed

& usually they notify via email.
