@rafanadal I won’t post the details, as I want to maintain privacy. However, I can post some basic stuff.

2360 SAT superscore, salutatorian of class with an unweighted GPA of 4.0
Captain in a varsity sport, volunteer for a few organizations (500+ hours of community service), president of a couple clubs, all-state musician, intern at a hospital, paid reporter for a newspaper, national AP scholar, national merit finalist, low-income background (but not a URM)

I’ve done a lot of stuff but nothing really amazing. Honestly, I think my essays are what got me in, not my achievements. Danforth emphasizes leadership and character, and I showed that in my essays. I just connected my background with my aspirations and showed how my passions connected with everything else I did.

I also applied for the University Scholars of Medicine, but wasn’t selected as a finalist. I guess all of the different scholarships/programs look for different things haha.

@bonsly Pretty sure that only the scholarships for the other colleges at WashU have come out yet (no SEAS applicant’s portal (who applied for engineering scholarships) has updated yet saying that they didn’t get it)
If you guys are anything like me, I read most of these comments as if they were from today, when they were actually from today’s date last year. So, no one has gotten any scholarship notifications for this year yet, don’t worry.
it seems the Wash U scholarships have been selected and Wash U notified both finalists and non-winners for the following programs: Academic Scholarship & Fellowship Programs • Honorary Scholars Program in Arts & Sciences • Nemerov Writing Scholarships • Fitzgibbon Scholarships, Architecture • Conway/Proetz Scholarships, Art • Dean’s Scholarship in Business • Engineering Academic Fellowship Program • Entrepreneurial Scholars Program • John B. Ervin Scholars Program • Annika Rodriguez Scholars Program • Danforth Scholars Program • University Scholars Program in Medicine
Does anyone have any info on the Deans Scholarship in Business? I was called about a week ago and was told I am a finalist. Does anyone know about about of finalists or the different scholarships given?
@arlmom2 I have no idea at all about Stamps. The list is a cut and paste of the list Wash U provided at the bottom of its decision e-mail about Academic Scholarships & Fellowships. I would think the Stamps is considered part of the “Academic Scholarship & Fellowship Programs,” but it is not listed. Neither is Enterprise Holdings for those with financial need, nor Wash U / Boeing First, nor Army and Air Force. No idea. Anyone?
I looked at the web page as well, and agree that Stamps is listed separately. WashU is not the best at making their information transparent to prospective students and families.
