Scholarship Notification

I don’t know, but I would imagine most if not all of the honors students would be awarded some sort of scholarship.

Congrats on the 21st Century Scholarship! That is absolutely awesome!

You have great stats - did you receive an invitation to Honors? If not, I hope you consider your option to petition.

Thank you!
No I have not received an invitation for honors, and I am debating whether to petition it or not.

I’m just worried the honors courses will be very hard.
Anyone taken honors courses that can speak from experience?

You might want to explore the Honors program option, since your SAT is so close to the regular requirement and your GPA is right there!

The benefits are listed [fsu.edu | About the University Honors Program](http://www.honors.fsu.edu/about.html)

My understanding is that honors students aren’t required to take all courses as honors. Wouldn’t it be nice to have the option to be in a class where the professor actually knows your name and your not 1 of 1000 faces? If you petition now before the second group of applicants have been finalized, I would think your chances of admission into the honors program would be greater & in the mean time talk to someone in the honors program about your concerns over the demands of honors as opposed to regular courses.

The Honors courses will be more challenging. You can commonly expect a paper to write instead of, or even in addition to, a multiple-choice exam. However, classes are much smaller and you’ll have a full professor instructing the class.

I’d say go for it. Time to grow.
