Anyone know when Wash U begins notifying applicants regarding scholarships? Specifically - Rodriguez, Ervin, Engineering and Danforth

Semi finalists are usually contacted the end of February and invited to Scholars Interview weekend in March. WashU covers all of the expenses for the weekend.

Does anyone know how many semifinalists are chosen? And does anyone know how many are nominated?

I think we hear in ~2 weeks. I’m getting nervous!

then if you get contacted for an interview, does this mean youre pretty much in the school?

Yes, I believe you are automatically admitted if nominated for a scholarship.

An invitation to Scholars Interview Weekend is as good as an acceptance notice.

question: did any of you get confirmation emails after submitting your scholarship apps?
i did not.

I never got any sort of notification. I thought that maybe on WUSTL Pathway it would say something along the lines of “We got your application!” but as soon as the deadline hit it just changed to a screen saying “The deadline has passed.”

My child did not get an email. However, if you log into the pathway, you can click on scholarships to read :
The Academic Scholarship & Fellowship Programs application deadline has passed. All scholarship application materials have been sent to the faculty committees for review.
(I know, this means little…but…)

I would have thought this meant nothing except if I click on the University Scholars I get:
The University Scholars Program deadline has passed. We do not have a University Scholars Program in Medicine application on file for you.
(see, they noted that I didnt sent one in!..)

So I assume they have received something…Plus she got the “Sent Successful” notice when she sent the essay/application.

This is the message I’m getting:
The Academic Scholarship & Fellowship Programs application deadline has passed. All scholarship application materials have been sent to the faculty committees for review.

I think all is well, I’ll still call next week to make sure all is well. Thanks for your replies.

i got an email after i submitted the scholarship application that said my application was complete and successfully submitted

I never got an email about the scholarships, but when I checked it before the application deadline, it said it was sent to the committee to be read. Now it says the deadline has passed. So for anyone who couldn’t check before the deadline, the only way to know for sure would be to call, I guess.

your application for the scholarship or for washu in general?

edit: mine also says that it was complete and sent to the committee.

So will we hear in the next two weeks (most likely) for Mylonas, Lien, etc.?

you’re already going to pitt though… j/k

That could change if I’m a finalist ;).

Whoo! I applied just for the Conway / Proetz scholarship (the art one) and I am extremely nervous/excited/anxious to see what happens. There are so many talented kids out there though I have a hard time imagining I have a chance!

All of this waiting is crazy! Good luck to everyone for their respective scholarships!!

Does anyone know the exact date of notification?

The last couple of years a call came out to scholarship applicants around Feb. 23rd. That’s less than 2 weeks away!
