<p>Does anyone know if they call us over the weekend or during the week? Not that it matters, but I presume it’d be easier to reach the applicants over the weekend, and February 23 is a Tuesday, when applicants will most likely be in school for the greater part of the day.</p>
<p>Last year the calls started coming in on a Saturday evening.</p>

<p>Also, I might have asked this before in some other thread, but does anyone know how many finalists are chosen for the Arts/Sciences scholarships (Compton, Mylonas, Moog, Lien)? From last year’s Danforth thread, it seems as though about 40 were chosen for Danforth, but I would presume that the number for the Arts/Sciences scholarships is smaller, though I may be wrong.</p>
<p>Sorry to double post, but in the first part of the above post, I mean that do people who don’t become finalists also get calls saying that they aren’t becoming finalists, or do they have to wait for a letter by US mail? Just wanted to clarify my question there.</p>

<p>Hate to say this, but “Saturday Night” could just as easily be the 27th as the 20th. The thread I read was from 2008, and it was a saturday the 23rd. Just happened to fall that way I believe. Nothing from the College (officially) that I have read gives a specific date, so dont plan your Weekend around getting a call this Saturday.</p>
<p>I hate to see anyone end up having a bad week because they waited around for a call. Lets hope that whoever does get a call comes back and posts though, so we can keep our ringers on high!</p>
<p>Won’t your WUSTL login profile/application status page have the decision (Finalist/Not Finalist) too if calls are POSSIBLY being made on Saturday?</p>
<p>In short, can’t you check your WUSTL profile instead of waiting for the call?</p>
<p>So do only finalists get called, then, and not all applicants (i.e. if you didn’t make it as a finalist, you won’t get a call saying “sorry, you didn’t make it”)?</p>

<p>Calls are made by the coordinator for each scholarship program. Since these are all individuals, not all calls may be made at the same time, although they try to keep to a similar schedule. There is an attempt at coordinating the timing of the calls, although this does not always succeed.</p>
<p>This may give false hope to people once phone calls start being made and results are posted on the website, but last year when I checked the website it said I wasn’t selected for any of the scholarships. A few days later I got a call from a dean saying I did get one. I went back online and checked and this time it said “Congratulations!”<br>
But yes, they do call and it is posted online around the time they start the calls.</p>
