<p>Anybody know when/how they tell us about whether or not we made the first cut for scholarships?</p>
<p>mid march for the cornelius scholarship, im not sure about the others though.</p>
<p>They have already announced the Ingram recipients, and they will announce the Cornelius and Chancellor winners mid-March. Also, Vanderbilt will send out additional scholarships April 1.</p>
<p>I was an Ingram finalist and wasn’t selected. They pretty much intimated that most of us that attended would be selected and they ended up only taken 5 out of 20 which came. I’m really stunned and would like to know why the big disparity. They have said nothing to us - weird. Has anyone else heard anything?</p>
<p>It’s honestly not that surprising. Huge budget cuts and lessened endowments have caused a pretty big drop in scholarship offerings everywhere. Many schools and scholarship foundations just don’t have the money right now to offer as many scholarships as they have in the past. You were very fortunate to be a finalist, and that obviously bodes very well for your admissions to Vanderbilt. Don’t be bitter.</p>
<p>I got my notification today that I am a recipient of the Cornelius Vanderbilt scholarship. I am SO, SO, SO stoked. This is literally my dream come true!!!</p>
<p>For the person that got the cornelius I’d sure like to know your stats. My child did not get it and i am just so surprised. Also are you a legacy or in state student? Congrats by the way. I don’t mean to take anything from you for getting it. I was just wondering what you had to have to get it.</p>

<p>On the Vandy Admissions Blog, a blogger posted that there were app. 3500 CV applicants and 150 CV recipients.</p>
<p>I just received notification last Thursday night that I had been selected for the CV scholarship! Congrats to all other CV recipients!</p>

<p>Hey, I just found out yesterday (late much, or is that normal? I thought notification was by April…) that I am also a Curb Scholar. 
Anybody have any idea how many of us there are this year for the incoming class? I know last year it was 5 freshman and 1 junior, based on what another poster said. Isn’t this awesome? I am from San Antonio, TX, btw. Nice to meet you!</p>
