Scholarship offers coming soon?

Hi All,
Is anyone from OOS still awaiting a scholarship offer? I was wondering whether it will be the $3-7000 or do they offer more depending on grades and tests.

I’m still waiting. I need to know sooner rather than later so that I can plan my east coast trip as well! I’ve already received scholarship offers from most other schools, and I’m surprised that Miami is taking so long considering that I got in EA.

Miami’s scholarship offer arrived today (postmarked 3/20).

Congrats!!!
Are you willing to share what they offered :)

I only got $7,000

I got mine today. Only $4k in scholarship and $5500 in loans. Apparently I can’t go there!!!

Expected Parent PLUS Loan: $33,000!!!

Merit award- $7000

No need based for us and that just leaves too much to pay when son can go to our state school for so much less.

Seems like a great place to be. Good luck to all of you who can afford to go!!!

Did everybody file FASFA even if you are nowhere near to need based FA? Strongly recommend do it every year. Also, they are good at piling much more starting second year, if your GPA is high and you APPLY for returning student scholarships. A lot of kids do not apply thinking that they have no chance. By the same token, a lot of parents do not file FASFA. I found these 2 along with high GPA being very important.

I received only 3,000…disappointing…I’ll pass

$5000 in merit scholarships and a lot of loan money.

I like Miami, but that’s a bit too steep.

I got $11,000 at MU as a Ohio resident.

if you really want to go to this school, try to negotiate, guys (“negotiate” is a wrong word, of course.)
i got about $30,000 at miami u in ohio and have just declined it, so, apparently, now they have some “spare” money… although i dont know if you can negotiate merit aid. but i guess it wouldnt hurt to try)

It is not a private school. They might open themselves for trouble if it become known that students with similar stats got very different Merit packages. They are public university that being supported by Ohio taxpayers.
