<p>tiger_max22, I have no idea which one is the least competitive. It depends on the number of students applying for the scholarship, and that will vary each year. The one sure way to to receive a scholarship is not to apply, however.</p>
<p>At random, I Googled “Peddie School Merit Scholarship,” and discovered this:
Merit-Based Aid</p>
<p>In addition to our Need Based Aid, Peddie School has two merit-based scholarship programs for entering students: The Potter Scholarships and The Annenberg Scholarship. The scholarships are open to applicants regardless of financial need. In order to be considered, applicants must submit all necessary application materials to the Peddie School by January 15.</p>
<p>The Potter Scholarship
Named in honor of the late F. Edward Potter, 13th headmaster of Peddie School, these $10,000 scholarships are awarded by the Admission Committee and announced with the acceptance packet. They remain fixed for the recipient’s time at Peddie. </p>
<p>Requirements:
Outstanding character combined with extraordinary schoolwork, teacher recommendations and SSAT scores. All applicants will be considered automatically for this scholarship if the application process is completed by January 15. No additional forms are required. The renewal of the Potter Scholarship is reviewed annually for each recipient.</p>

<p>The Annenberg Scholarship
Named in honor of the late Walter H. Annenberg, Class of 1927, whose commitment to service and society was unfailing and whose citizenship was exemplary, this full-tuition award recognizes that applicant who, in the estimation of the Admission Committee, has demonstrated both extraordinary qualities of citizenship and service to community, and exhibits the potential for outstanding leadership within the Peddie community and beyond. The renewal of the Annenberg Scholarship is reviewed annually.</p>
<p>Requirements:</p>
<p>Complete significant and sustained community service work
Demonstrate outstanding academic achievement
Provide a letter of recommendation from a community service program coordinator, director, leader, etc. who has worked directly with the applicant.
Write two long essays. Applicants must complete one essay from the choices provided in Part II of the Application AND must respond to the following question on a separate page.
The Peddie Schools greatest benefactor, the late Ambassador Walter Annenberg '27, believed that service to others was the responsibility of good citizens. The late Arthur Ashe once wrote, True heroism is remarkably sober, very undramatic. It is not the urge to surpass all others at whatever cost, but the urge to serve others, at whatever cost. Both men gave tirelessly of their resources and their time to better society and provide for opportunity where it had not previously existed. In which projects have your leadership and your service improved the quality of life for your community? Please explain your involvement in these endeavors.</p>
