Scholarship oppurtunities

I am a sophomore with a 3.9 GPA and still improving on my SAT score. I wanted to know when might be the time to start applying and searching for scholarships due to the fact that my aim is to get a full ride into a good college.

See post #5 at http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/financial-aid-scholarships/1494682-what-does-take-get-full-ride.html

Not as reliable as the [automatic scholarships linked to earlier, but you might also want to take a look at these:

<a href=“Competitive Full Tuition / Full Ride Scholarships - Financial Aid and Scholarships - College Confidential Forums”>Competitive Full Tuition / Full Ride Scholarships - Financial Aid and Scholarships - College Confidential Forums](http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/15743177-post250.html)

Another good option, since you’re still a sophomore, is to work your tail off prepping for the PSAT. Get a qualifying score on that, and you’re looking at scholarships (in different amounts) at schools all over the country. You’ll find a list of participating colleges here.

The outside scholarships you’re looking at can be a great supplement, but you can’t count on them to pay your way for four years. The best scholarships are offered by the schools themselves, as in the links above.
