scholarship or acceptance revoked?

I just asked, as long as a student who is accepted is admissible to IUB ( no D's F's, graduate high school successfuly etc.) the scholarships that student recieves will be awarded to that student. basically, in order for a student to maintain their admission and their scholarships, the student needs to successfuly graduate high school with no problems based on IUB's standards. hope this helps.

:) sweet, my iu faculty award increased from 6000 to 7000

I hope that happens to me! How did you do it Dcho, i'd like to know. Did you submit a senior year report, teacher rec, letter, and ask for reconsideration?

If it will help your profile, you can submit 7th semester grades or updated scores to admissions by the deadline of Feb. 1st to be considered for additional award $$.

Dcho said that he had a 3.2 senior year, and got more scholarship money. I hope that's true, because I have a 3.8 senior year!

What are they doing in Bloomington? Printing greenbacks at Kelley? These discussions regarding IU are purely amazing..........

IU better be printing those greenbacks... it's 30,000 per year to attend! 6-7,000 off of that isn't that much!

From what I have read and heard they didn't used to print the greenbacks like they currently are. I agree it is expensive.....but oh so pretty.

Wolves--Have your GC fax those senior grades in by this Wed., no later. Son just finished final exams on Friday so he's in a time crunch. Called IU...no extensions even with a late exam schedule.

haz...I think you mentioned it awhile back....they want those OOS'ers.

They must be making a concerted effort to raise the standing but buying these smartees from OOS.....yup is seems clear.

There's a deadline for sending in grades to get an increase? Didn't know that. Thanks GBAMom!

The GBAMom is on her game......watching out for her boys on CC. The woman with the knowledge and she shares........good for us all.

sorry didnt reply back for long time, i was out. im not sure why they increased it. I didnt send in my midyear report since i had a 3.2 uw gpa and i didnt retake sat I or anything. I just got the mail today along with some orientation stuff. it just said o once again congrats on being accepted after reviewing your iu faculty award we decided to raise it to 7,000 a year totaling 28,000 blah blah. if they want oos'er and are giving out more scholarships gud cuz i DO want to go. btw not this monday but next monday im visiting through the host overnight thing. once i come back il give u guys my input about iu and my experience there if u want :) ( NERVOUS as HECK)

also what is a greenback?

wait is tat money?? i ono i sound like a retard i kno heh

As one means of financing the cost of fighting the Civil War, the federal (Union) government in 1862 began printing legal tender notes. This currency was not backed by specie (gold or silver) and exerted an inflationary impact on the Northern economy. By war’s end about $450 million was in circulation.

The value of the greenbacks, which were printed with green ink on one side, fluctuated with the war's progress. In early 1864, when Union prospects were dim, the greenback dollar held a value of under 40 cents; by the end of the war in 1865, it was around 67 cents. The original intention was for the greenbacks to hold the same value as regular gold-backed notes, but that result never occurred.

Dollars but NOT Yankee dollars as you can see.....hehehehe

o ok so its like old money used during the 1800's? whi wud u guys mention that to IU? wait is it slang for money laundering???

Cheap dollars.......Southern.......do either of those ring a bell. Printing money for a good cause? How about that one?

wait isnt printing money illegal, doesnt only the u.s. gov. do that?

i took us history ap but we never talked about greenbacks hmm never remembered that term.. we covered the industrial economy of the north and agricultural economy of the south and what happened after civil war but greenbacks? doesnt ringa bell. sory
