Hi, it says on Rutgers' website that all who wish to have merit aid are encouraged to file for FA. I'm probably over thinking this, but does that mean we HAVE to file for FA first in order to be considered for scholarships??

I think they use the FAFSA to determine need scholarships, not merit scholarships. However, you still have to file FAFSA even with only merit scholarships, because they want to make sure they are not giving you more scholarship money than you need, in case the government is giving you assistance. But they will award you merit scholarships before you file your FAFSA; you just have to file the FAFSA before you can collect the money.

so wen will people who applied EA Nov 15 find out wat scholarships they get if they hvnt qualified for presidential?
