Are scholarship recipients(Presidential, Deans, etc) expected maintain higher than usual senior grades? If so, does UMD reserve the right to take away our scholarships or special program offers(Scholars, Honors, etc)?

I know it takes a lot to get your admission rescinded. But just to make sure, is receiving 2 Cs but Bs and As for the rest of your subjects grounds grounds for having your scholarship taken away? They mentioned something about maintaining a 3.2 in college in my Presidential Scholarship letter, but didn't say anything about grades I have to maintain in highschool.

I called the admissions office SO many times about this. The impression I get - just graduate. I guess the most compelling evidence towards this is that I sent an e-mail to an adcom in which I one 1.) Said I decided to move from an AP class to a GT class and would most likely get a C in that class and Bs in all other classes (sub 3.0 GPA) and 2.) asked if that would affect my admission, scholarship, or honors placement. The answer was, "Just graduate and you will be fine". I sent it anonymously.

Go ahead and shoot an e-mail to them with your exact predicted grades, and if you get an, "All's clear", you'll have their word and a printed record to ease your conscious :).
