Any guesses as to when we will hear back on the Paul Tulane Scholarship? I remembered reading that it was rolling vs. the Trustee but I could be mistaken. Thanks

I think you mean vs. the DHS. Anyway, no idea when they will start informing people if they won or not, but you did read correctly that they said it will be rolling. Now that the submission deadline has passed, I would think they would be starting to review all the essays. It is possible they will wait to see first semester grades of the applicants as well, but that is just a guess on my part. I have no information to that effect.

Thanks. I did mean the DHS and I will blame my lapse to the onset of empty nest syndrome or the beginning of “senior moments” (walking into a room looking for something and forgetting what, etc…)

DHS release date is around February 15th, if im not mistaken, right FC?

Maybe the week after, traditionally. Presidents Day is Feb 18 this year, and it has usually been towards the end of that week.

What did I miss? Does the DHS say anything about sending in first semester grades? D has already been admitted. She did apply for DHS, but I don’t remember any extra grade submission requirements. Would they just call the high school directly?

Tulane might request them from the high schools for people that make the “finals”. There is no requirement to send them, and I don’t really know if Tulane does this. I was speculating. But if the first semester grades represent an improvement over previous average, it cannot hurt.

Thanks, FC.
